She was restless, she had not slept since the battle her body moving of its own accord pacing the floor wearing a line in the rug.

A part of her was concerned, concerned as it always was for Umbra for the ultimate power that it sought. In essence Merci had come to the realization that they had handed priceless and powerful artifacts to another entity.

In the past this entity had even besmirched some of Umbra's citizens for their Elven heritage. Umbra was no tool, no pawn to help the desires of another gain glory and power. Umbra was her own power, her own land and would not be a sidekick to another. She considered all this and was unsure which way to move next. She thought of Ceinwyn instantly, and felt she should start at the beginning.

She had questions and she was sure that Ceinwyn could releive her growing angst.....

She was relieved as ussual, Ceinwyn had more planned then met the eye and Merci was at peace.

Merci's hot temper was sometimes the best of her, but she could still in most cases think clearly, repelling the veil of red that she often dawned in battle, the lust to kill.

Umbra needed nothing more than what it already had to prosper, it would grow and flourish as the darkness should.

Umbra was alive with activity, the bustle of the merchants in the street, the tavern filled with wild laughter. Battles on the horizon which only made Merci smile, she did enjoy the battle, even though someday it would mean her own demise. She would be ready for it when the time came, but she would not die frail and old in a bed, nor sick and twisted in a healers hut, she would die as she lived, upon the battlefeild with all that she loved around her.

A vision of her own death flashed before Merci's eyes the blue hair puddling with her own rich sweet blood, and Merci didnt care, she was relaxed, death held no fear for her. She was doing what she was meant to do....
