*A letter sent magically to each of the nominees of Sossaria*
Greetings my friends:
I have allowed ample time for everyone to give serious thought to what they wish to propose. The time has come to present all of these grand ideas for voting by the public. Simply place your proposal in the envelope enclosed and it will find it's way to me.
Let's just say, our Umbran friends aren't so keen on having our messengers in their lands, so, magic will be implemented.
Regards,
Drayden Calamyr |

Lord Spawn
I, Spawn, promise if elected, to abolish all forms of central government and control. I shall make sure Britannia is free from Regency, Consensus, or any form of authority and oppression. The people shall make their own governments in the cities they live in. Britain, Trinsic, Skara Brae, Yew, and all the cities not mentioned shall have their own form of government within their boundaries. Their citizens shall make their own law, their own economy, and their own lives.
I believe a central government such as a Regency or Consensus only limits and oppresses people’s rights. One of the rights I speak of is the right to life which every individual in this land has had since the day they were born. Another is the right to speak out for and against any issue that the person feels necessary. A person also has the right to practice whatever religion suits them. It is a person’s right that their opinion is not be altered by for the interest of the government. If a person disagrees, they are entitled to do so. These rights I promise to every citizen of Britannia if I am elected.
These city run governments shall make their own military and defense but they shall have the assistance of the newly formed Guardians of Justice to protect them if necessary. The Guardians shall only interfere if and only if an individual is or is going to be in danger of harm.
The people of Britannia shall also be protected from the influence of any government power in Malas and Tokuno. This does not mean the people of this great land are required to isolate themselves from the mentioned lands. This only means that governments from those lands shall have no authority on any piece of Britannian soil.
The people of Britannia elect me and I shall grant you your chance to grow. No more interference from central governments or power hungry rulers. I give only freedom peace, and justice for all of Britannia.
Matriarch Ceinwyn Ab'Arawn
Land Reformation Act
A vote for me is a vote for a land wherein crime is extinct. A land once more united. A land in which there is no prejudice against a person's race. A land of prosperity and joy.
I alone have the power to give Britannia what it needs, what it deserves. Order and Prosperity. None of the other candidates can guarantee that to the citizens of Britannia. Instead, they promise wishful thinking, backing themselves with intangible and impossible dreams. They have no force or army to protect its citizens, as I do.
Our regime will sweep over the land, cleansing it of the chaotic strife that currently riddles it. Crime will be abolished. We will bring the death penalty back to these lands, and restore the peace that has been gone for so long. The other candidates only propose long, tedious meetings, wherein they will discuss the issues and crimes at hand. Under my guidance, there will be few issues needing dealt with, as more action will be taken against those who break the law.
We will reunite the cities of the mainland. No more will there be these break-away cities, with their self-proclaimed kings and their constant feuding. Once more will the continent be as one.
I promise an end to unemployment and hunger and homelessness. An estimate of 1,536 jobs will be created this year, alone, if I am elected.
There will be more fests and celebrations. I, as a ruler, recognize the need for fun. Plus, while festivals and fairs lead to relaxation and enjoyment, they also create jobs and increase revenue for the land. Tourism will increase, no longer will the theatre and conservatories lack funding. A special grant will be deeded to these buildings to promote interest in arts and music.
The other candidates likely haven't even considered the plight of the people. All they spout about is more meetings and less action. We will do for Britannia what we have done for Umbra. Growth, prosperity, tourism. All of these will be yours.
So if you want the same old government in which the same old problems continuously re-occur vote for another candidate. If you want to be ruled by a man who already once turned his back on you, and claimed control of one of Lord British's cities, taking the name of king, vote for another candidate. If you want a ruler who will hide behind another nation's army, vote for another candidate. If you want a ruler who at any time may become possessed by demons, vote for another candidate. If you want a ruler who is ashamed of what he once was, vote for another candidate. If you want a ruler who calls herself a rebel and would prefer trees as company, rather than citizens, vote for another candidate.
If you want something done the right way the first time, vote for me.

The League of Nations
The League of Nations is to be a political body made up of members from each Guild no matter their race or belief. The Guilds will elect, or appoint their own representative to the League of Nations in any manner they wish. The League itself is concerned primarily with legislation and aid for the member guilds and new guilds that wish to join the community. This will include assigning Mentor Guilds to New Member Guilds to bring them into the fold.
They may create policies that outline how they will deal with every day issues within the community and issues of war and peace. The League will be the voice of peace but will not be limited to that role. Should war be eminent they will oversee humane treatment of prisoners and provide aid for refugees and the injured. They may decide to send in peace keeping forces to quell violence so diplomatic procedures can be implemented.
This is to be a partnership between leadership and the Community. Each is responsible for the other and will work together to achieve a mutually agreeable set of laws, policies and decisions that effect the Greater Community.
The structure of the League will be further defined when the members of the League meet.
• They will determine for themselves when and where they hold meetings
• They will determine their meeting rules and procedures.
• They will elect their own Spokesperson(s) to moderate their meetings and they will choose their title(s). (Chairperson, Speaker, Prime Minister?)
• The Spokesperson(s) will have no vote but their respective guilds may have a representative to vote for their guild. However, in cases where the League of Nations has an even number of members and a deadlocked vote is possible, the Spokesperson(s) will be expected to, if necessary, cast a deciding vote.
Once a month, the League of Nations Spokesperson(s) will present any new policies, laws, or decisions that the League hopes to have ratified, to the Greater Community by polling them for a general consensus. The final vote will be made at the meeting immediately following the results of the poll and any further input from the community will be added to the legislation, should it be necessary, to make it more acceptable to all. The ultimate decision will be up to the Guild representatives guided by the Community poll with no less than (2/3rds) of the League membership to become final. The membership need not be present to cast their vote as long as it is sent to the Spokesperson(s) by what ever means can be achieved.
If at any time the League membership must deny passage, they are obligated to present written documentation of their reasons to the Community at large by formal post, and, if applicable, proposed changes to the legislation. The Community or the League may continue to submit an overturned decision to the League or the Community at large as often as they see fit, changed or unchanged, until such time as they feel the issue has been dealt with sufficiently.
If a League member guild’s representative is not present for (3) three consecutive meetings their guild will be asked to provide a new representative so their guild can be properly represented. Attendee Representatives will be registered at each meeting to assure that all guilds are being properly represented. This list will be published each week along with the minutes of the League meeting.
The Term of Service of the Spokesperson(s) will be a term of no more than (6) six months. After that time a vote for new speakers will be held. The nominees will be presented by the League Guilds to the Community for their approval. The Community will not vote but may present their opinions to their League Representative for each nominee. The current speakers must wait to run again until the next set of elections.
Should a Spokesperson be unable to complete their term or are absent from their post as Spokesperson for more than (3) three consecutive weeks a new Spokesperson will be elected by the League as if it were the end of the (6) six month term described under Term of service.
Should it be determined that the current Spokesperson(s) is unsuited for their position before their term of service is up then the Community or Membership Guild Representatives can call for a vote of “No Confidence”. In this case, a two thirds percent of the League membership can call for a vote to elect a new Spokesperson to replace the unsuited person. The same election procedures will apply for this scenario as well.
Lord Sid
People of the Lands
I Sid of Yew do make these proposals
1 A central government open to all
2 To create a stable enviroment for all to prosper in
3 To limit the government to its commitments not Land entitlements
4 To actively be commited to new idea's and to share them
The Government Body
(elected) Chairman of the Board
Vice Chairmen
Minister of Eduacation (rp school/events)
Minister of Justice (law and order)
Minister of War
Minister of Human Resourses (complaint dept)
(Chairman has tie breaker vote)
The House of Lords (the voters)
The House of Lords will consist of the People, representing thier people and if so even themselfs, The House will have to power to invite and reject nominees to the House. The House will never assume land claims, but may assist in protection or defending an other's home land, and if the House does conclude an action is deserved it cannot compell other's that sit in the house to come to action by that majority decision.
I also propose the term limits be set at six months with no limits of service, this acting body would be observing Common Law and all meeting's would be in public located at a location within the Lord British Castle. |
