Zephryn Gryfith pulled the scroll from his pocket, Eva had sent it to him during his long imprisonment, it was time she knew more..Some of what the article said was terribly false but some of it rang true. It was time Shade knew what her father had been...

Notable Necromancers, The Strathmore Family Tragedy

Jonathan Strathmore the second lived and died a chivalrous life, he harkened to the virtues, believing firmly in them. A Notable Necromancer himself, for years he had wandered the lands, exercising demons, ghosts and all manner of evil that plagued and haunted the good folk of the land.

He was well known for his ability to lay the dead to rest, to combat every harmful spell that a necromancer laid upon him. What was shocking of this was that his father was noted for a terrible scandal, undergoing at this time a trial by the people for horrible and shocking experimentations upon people. Jonathan Strathmore the First, had abused his notoriety as an up and coming doctor, a genius of sorts in the science of flesh when found with several cadavers of past patients ensconced in his seaside home.

His son Jonathan Strathmore the Second renounced his father and family fleeing to a home he shared with his betrothed, Aggie Se’Leraun. His father, pleading that the patients were already dead prior to experimentation, escaped extradition and a guilty verdict, however it is believed he also did this with some well placed gold in the coffers of well-known and powerful people.

Upset at his son’s betrayal, he began a feud with his son that lasted months. At the end of which it is said his son in a fit of despair over the enstrangement with his father, took his own life. His mother Eva Strathmore, was seen leaving the Strathmore family home on the day of his death in mourning clothing, her beautiful and signature green hair enshrouded by a thick black veil. It is said she blamed Jonathan the first for their son’s untimely death. Sadly a few days later, her Gryfith family home, which it is believed she returned to, was burnt to the ground in a terrible accident, one of the servants carelessly spilling a bottle of lantern oil to close to a flame, causing the house to be demolished and all persons reduced to ashes…

Jonathan the second’s betrothed, Aggie a well-known thermatologist, was said to dissapear her grief driving her into seclusion over the loss of the man she loved and it is believed later died.

Rumor has it there was a secret child to Jonathan the Second but nothing is known of her and it is unsure if she truly exists. Due to the severe shortage of Strathmore heirs, Jonathan Strathmore the First in great grief, has sent out a plea across the land, along with a hefty reward, for the return of a girl of sixteen, possibly with the signature green hair, going by the name Nightshade, supposed daughter of Jonathan the second, heiress to the Strathmore family name…

Shade gripped the scroll tightly its age crumbling abit from the force of her hand she turned from Zephryn and walked slowly away. She mumbled to herself softly...He fought Necromancers??
