Magincia, the city of pride, for years it was the only main city to stand outside the sphere of Lord British’s virtues. Under the governance of Humanis and the House of Isk the city was lead into activity and prosperity. Pride remained the virtue of the Magincians. Now corrupted by the Hand of Evil the Magnate of Magincia stood before a statue of himself and his lovely wife. Some among the populace began to fear something was wrong within Magincia's royal family.

Adorned in the full suit of evil forged during the time of Mondain, Isk felt the spiritual and magical energies of the island seep into him, siphoned and converted into essence. Already the prolonged presence of the Hand of Evil within the city of pride made the use of magic tricky. There were reports of recall and gate spells fizzling, letters indicating that travel into the city by magical means had been cut off. Somewhere in the back of Isk’s mind he feared, no… resisted what the Hand of Evil was doing to his city. Now that the Magnate wore the entire suit the spirit of the armour was driving him. The Hand of Evil was in charge and though Isk was not truly possessed he had not the mental fortitude to save Magincia from having its magic siphoned by the armour. The Magnate’s willpower had long been eroded by drugs that it now easily folded to the power of the suit. Isk was a passenger. The suit was in the driver's seat.

Walter, who had come in only minutes ago with news on the Dark Order watched Isk as he turned to face him. “Times are changing.” The Mortificator stated. Isk only nodded.

“This Sunday we will drain Moonglow’s Lycaeum of its magical energy. The lich lord will cast a spell to quicken our evolution. Without it, we would need months to reach our fullest potential.” Isk said as a faint red light emanated from holes of the Helm of Evil he wore upon his head. “We can expect Moonglow Town Council to intervene”

“It will be a win.” Walter said as he glanced outside to the city’s new arrivals. With disdain the Mortificator sighed “We have many visitors…” he hesitated before finishing “…saying many strange things. The people wonder why they can not enter the city through the moongate or by spells”

“Let them wonder” Isk responded, the pitch of his voice changing “They can wonder themselves into their graves”

Walter shifted his footing uneasily. Ever loyal Walter had been one of the first to rush castle Blackguard and Isk was sure that this Sunday the Mortificator would not disappoint. Isk understood that Sanctus would not defend with Moonglow since Moonglow only watched as Castle Blackguard was besieged but rumours of Moonglow’s army made the Magnate uneasy. His strong reliance on Umbra’s superior forces, the ever growing military of the Dark Order and the magics of the Cabal did not make the near possessed Isk uncomfortable. He had full trust in his allies.

“All evil is united, a task the forces of good are unable to do” Isk said. “The age of light is over. This Sunday we will usher in a thousand years of darkness. It is inevitable”

Walter nodded but the Hand of Evil felt the Mortificator wonder at the safety of Magincia. What did it all mean to the city the House of Isk called home? Would the corruption of the Hand of Evil bring darkness upon Magincia?

Isk stared from within the Helm of Evil as Walter wrestled with his thoughts.

"I will be ready for Sunday" Walter stated. It was all the Magnate needed to hear.
