As the old man sits down in front of the fire to warm his bones, he ponders the letter that he is about to send. It reads,

"My Lady, Duchess Molly Kaldhel,

I hope that this letter finds all is well with you. At some point in the near future, and at your leisure, if we might meet for introductions. In my travels, I have been told by various sources that you would be the one that might shed some light on how things are going in these lands, and I hope that you might make time to talk to a curious old man. Perhaps I might have some knowledge or skill that you might find useful, and I might have an entertaining story or two to tell.

Receiving the message she does not recognize the hand writing. She looks at the messenger curiously and he shrugs anticipating her question. He says with a half smile Don't know MeLady. It was left at the livery in Luna. The stable boy asked me to take it your way since I was headed to Sanctus anyway. She nodded and broke the seal.

She looked up at him from the text and smiled. I will be replying but there is no hurry to return it. If you are headed back up that way in the next day or so will be soon enough. Go to the Kitchen and get youself something. There is some cold mutton and fresh biscuts on the counter, and be sure to take an apple or pear, they are just picked. He headed off to the kitchen.

She went to her desk and wrote a short note in reply.

Cordial Greetings Mr. Hunter,

I would be most willing to speak to you. I am sending you a small map with the location of the House Gauntlet, and a rune should you have magic abilities. Please feel free to stop by at any time and we will have a chat. If I am not present when you arrive please make yourself at home until I return. Just show them this invitation and the staff will see to your needs.

The messenger returned from the kitchen just as she sprinkled the drying flakes on the message. She rolled it and a small map up and placed it in a small pouch with a rune. She picked up another small pouch with some gold in it and handed both to the messenger. He smiled broadly and took the items.

Thank you for waiting and safe travels to you. Get a fresh mount from the stables before you go. He nodded smiling brighter.
I will take good care of it and bring it back on my return trip Miss. She smiled at him and nodded as he departed the gates and headed for the stables.
