Humming as he visits Sanctus, Moonglow, Britain, Luna, Yew, Vesper, Skara Brae, Trinsic, Moonglow, Magincia, Cove, various taverns where friends gather, he tacks a simple notice:

Announcing the Engagement of Roger de Clare and Lady Xana.

Friends! Rejoice with us as we prepare for marriage.

We have pledged ourselves to each other Heart, Mind, Body, and Soul already. However, we want you to share our joy by telling you publicly of our wish to marry. Said marriage to take place as announced later.

It was at Moonglow that Xana noticed the small announcement fluttering in the breeze. She urged her mount closer, and squinted at the text. What she saw there truly surprised and touched her. "Roger, you rogue, you never told me about this!" The gypsy sat upon her steed, grinning foolishly to herself. It was true, Roger had made no mention that he intended to quite literally tell the world of their decision to marry. Perhaps this was some sort of surprise, or perhaps it was simply an oversight that he hadn't brought it up; Roger knew many more people and had many more friendships than had the pensive and often reserved woman that was Xana and likely wanted to share the news with those people he held dear.

With thoughts of romance, and little girl stories of knights in gleaming armor and awash in virtue, Xana turned the horse with a touch of heel and drag of rein and urged it into a trot. Breaking free of the town fenceline, that trot became a gallop. The wind whipped through her long and untamed hair, causing the silver charms to jingle. Xana felt so fully alive, so full of hope.

As the horse ran, she thought of things that she would need to attend to in the weeks coming.
