Nyxanna peerred quietly from behind the tree, she was a poor stealther it was true. Many had seen her thruout the battle scurrying from bush to bush a bit of purple displayed here and there. Zeth was at his wits end with the small mage, the Warlord now nursing a bruised paw and tail. She had stepped on him repeatedly her ability to stay quiet and still sorely lacking. He had been patient though as anyone could see young Nyxy's heart in her eyes.

The truth of why she was here, showing clearly at last when Mairsil rode up with the Dark Order. She restrained herself from flying forward and begging him to return to safety. This was suicide and she felt certain he would soon be dead. She had faith the fighters from the Dark Order were some of the best, but, the numbers she had seen....

The Dark Order was indeed doing well against great odds, the fighters picking strays off one by one, but sadly the moment came when she saw him fall, and his body hit the ground. In battle there is no time for the fallen, and the rest of his group was forced to carry on. She hovered behind a nearby tree and crept out to check his injuries he seemed only unconcious and with that great releif she returned to her hidden spot to watch. Soon she saw her grandfather, once he gained conciousness, back atop his horse beside the others.

Nyxy was a little ghost following far behind yet following all that transpired, she told herself it was for information to bring back to Umbra, but she knew in her heart that Lord Melgair was handling that. She stayed out of the way, and tried to remain unseen the rest of the battle.

At last it seemed the fighting for now had ended, and her grandfather was heading home, so when his horse gave pause to rest a bit she quietly sneaked up next to him invised. There she placed a gentle hand on the horse flank looking up at Mairsil to survey his wounds. His head turned quickly and she feared he knew she was close so she scurried away a dash of purple fluttering thru the moongate....

Zeth was crouched down behind a tree, It was just to dangerous to be out in the open moving around. In wolf form he had nearly been trampled by horses trying to cross the road. He had moved from tree to tree until he had found a spot where he could survey most of the battle, that was raging around him. His senses where on overload the ringing of steel on steel the smell of blood in the air. The noxicous fumes of the poison fields that had been lain, and the smell of burning flesh. Zeth peered out of his hiding spot watching waiting and taking mental notes.
He could smell her, She was close an Umbran was near but where he could not tell with everything that was happening. Zeth knew her scent for he had played with her the last time they where here.
Just as Zeth perpared to shift his body to look behind him a great pain shot up thur his tale. He bit down hard to keep the Yelp from escaping his mouth. At first he thought That girl has distracted me and a horse has gotten close with out me noticeing it As he turned to see who or what was on his tail, There she was Nyxy was still standing on his tail with her hand over her mouth. In the blink of an eye she had dissappeared and Zeth could hear her foot steps moving off a ways.
Foolish child she is going to get herself hurt running around out here like she is
It wasnt long before Zeth was lost again in trying to figure out who was winning and who was loseing. The snap of a twig to his right alerted him that something was coming his way, but before he could move a foot came down on his front Paw. And once again there stood Nyxy a'dArawn. Zeth was not able to hold back the whimper that escaped his mouth this time. The Now visible Nyxy Looked down in front of her "Sorry Warlord Zeth, I thought you where behind that tree." and she pointed to one over. Then with out a word she vanished again. That child needs lessons in stealthing bad Zeth thought as he limped from behind the tree he was hiding to find one closer to the battle and a little less dangerous.
After watching for awhile longer Zeth had what information he needed The dark Order had attacked a greatly superior number with only a hand full of troops. but still as lopsided as the numbers where they were dealing out damage. As Zeth made his way to the moon gate he spotted the body of an old friend laying in the woods. The shrieff of Sanctus lay on his back his eyes glazed over. Zeth fought all the erges that ran thur his mind as he passed up the body. With one last glance around Zeth Made his way thur the gate and back to Sanctus where he would nurse his sore Paw and tail, then report to the Matriarchs All he had seen in Minoc.
