Twas the late afternoon as the zookeeper went over his ledger while smiling happily. The scouts had located a tremendous source of harpy meat and things were going extremely well. He had very nearly acquired enough meat and feathers and supplies for the zoo. The pack llamas were heavily laden and as irritable as usual. The zookeeper was covered in harpy blood, feathers, and poop.

Funny thing, harpies, they have a tendency to evacuate themselves when they get attacked. And the smell? Wow. Even Lizbet the Flower Girl had made a comment about the stench, with her hand holding her nose as she backed away from the stinky zookeeper. Damn....You stink. She had said. Daz shrugged and went back to checking his numbers.

His thoughts drifted to Lee. He missed her terribly but he would see her soon. The zookeeper had a gift for her. While fighting harpies, the mythical gold harpy had appeared. To his amazement Daz watched as it flew around in the corner of the cave. Remi, there, grab that one! Remi complied and tore the golden harpy from the air. The golden harpy was much stronger than the zookeeper had anticipated. Once the golden bird had been dispatched, the elf realized that it had been guarding a large chest. The chest was locked but at least it would make a wonderful gift, and it would prove the existence of the golden harpy. The keeper made notes and spent most of his time studying the creatures while Remi had a wonderful time chasing the birds around the cave.

Soon he would be ready to go home. The zookeeper sniffed himself and winced at the stench. He still needed to finish his supply gathering and, of course, take a bath.
