Bleys carefully applied oil to the horse's tail where he had already woven in small fireworks.

Then he mounted the horse and rode from Britain to Dark Cove as close as he dared ride to avoid the scouts and guards. He dismounted near the border watching for movement and pulled the sealed scroll from inside his hakama-rubbish and placed it in the left saddle bag.

Using a tinderbox, he struck a few sparks and then pulled a pine needle from his pouch and lit it. Gently he whispered in the horse's ear as he set it's tail on fire and then smacked it on it's hind quarters.

The horse went galloping away trailing smoke and making much noise across the border and into Dark Cove territory.

He then stepped behind a copse of trees and blended into the shadows waiting.
