Zari sat on the steps of Blackguard, twirling a lock of her pink hair around her fingers. She had done something no other MelGair would ever think of, or ever want to do. She had sworn an oath to her fathers enemy, and joined thier ranks within the army.

It was indeed time for a change. She would forget, with time, the way she had been raised within the city of Umbra, and the wihtin walls of her fathers house which she had long since been banished from. For a long time she had belived that the whole world revolved around the rules of Umbra, but with the time she had lived within the comfort and safety of Sanctus, she had discovered otherwise.

When word of her "treason" reached her fathers ears, she knew he would be furious. But then again, he had been furious for some time, and it no longer bothered her. She was living her life now, for her, not to please her parents, who no longer wanted anything to do with her.


And when the day they came to meet upon the battle field....

So be it.
