Tempt woke up in a dark room, it took her eyes a few moments to focus in the dark surroundings. Her head still reeled and she felt dizzy. Once she was able to see a bit clearer, she found herself in a locked room. She at least seemed to be in one piece, but could not remember how she got here. The door creaked open and a dark figure walked in, with red eyes.

"You are awake. Good.", the woman hissed at her.

The face before should have been familiar, but it was not. "Who are you and why am I here?", Tempt asked a bit shakily.

Vaskiira looked at her and hid her perplexity for a moment. "You are here because Lloth wishes you to be. I warned you that I would take what was due to me and what was promised.", Vaskiira explained.

Temptation was expression list, the voice sounded like one she knew but she didn't quite recognize it. A feeling of dread washed over her. She was alone with this obviously evil woman, and knew help was far away.

"I sent another gift for your sheriff, some of your hair sufficed well along with that tea from Papua where I took you. I admit, for a human he is rather intelligent. Eventually, he'll notice you are gone and your purpose will be served. You should not have interfered with the Baron and the priestess' child. A shame, strong and fearless, too bad you are not drow.", Vaskiira smiled at Tempt evilly.

Tempt froze, "Who? What are you talking about?", was all she could say. This was met with a fierce backhand to her face that sent her to the hard stone floor roughly.

"I do not like games, elf!", she looked over the red haired woman and by her expression realized she truly did not know what she was talking about. "You really do not know...", the drow's voice trailed off and she left the room slamming the heavy door behind her.

Tempt's face was swollen from the hit and she sat curled up, trying to make sense of everything...if only she could remember.

The drow sat in the abandoned Inn she had come to call her home. She picked a far more secure location this time to hold the woman, that gave her so much trouble the last time. To make sure things went smoothly, she wrote Nizzre:

I writing to tell you to abandon our first plan. I hold the elf paladin now, safely in a secure area and away from prying eyes. I will disclose it in time along with the rest of my instructions.

She sealed the note and called forth the Innkeeper to have it delivered. Leaning back in her chair she smiled, the elf could not remember anything and may be far more valuable than the child she had taken. She already possessed skill and a blank mind can be like a sponge...

Malic sat wondering. More threats from that dammed drow. Tempt had not been seen nor heard from in over a week. Searches came up empty.

"When will this end. The Drow has taken my bride, left me bloody impliments. What next." Malic thought.

While gathering his armor and sword, Malic prepared to go. A hunt will need to be done. The kind of hunt that someone may not survive. With any luck it won't be himself falling by the sword.

Scar returned to the temple in Thraxstadt from the meeting with Queen Tia-Setri and Lord Malic intending to learn if the falcon Tempt gave him might be able to locate her, its former master and trainer.

The bird, a peregrine male, perched itself lightly and obediently upon the glove of Scar's outstretched hand as he began the search.

He released it first in Felucca with the simple command, "Seek Tempt," and waited, hoping that she had placed some kind of enchantment upon the bird, or that by its own keen abilities, would be able to find its way to her. It returned a day later and refused to take flight again when commanded to search the facet again. He concluded that she was not presently on Felucca.

Journeys to Trammel, the Lost Lands, Malas, and Tokuno, produced no better results. It was on Ilshenar that the falcon spent more time away and then returned to him only to circle repeatedly high above him. He spurred his mount to follow it and, after a long journey fraught with hazards and many foes, it came to rest once more on his hand as he stood in sight of the Deuce Viniculum Inn. "Well done," he said softly to it, stroking the smooth down of its head and neck. "Well done, indeed."

Despite the strong compulsion to enter the Inn and make a thorough search, he turned away and returned home to get word of his discovery to the Queen and Lord Malic.

Nizzre had made sure that those whom she hired would do their job and do it well. To most humans, drow were treacherous at best and bloodthirsty at worst, and her hirelings had taken their posts with a firm belief in her assurance that, should they fail in their duties, a long, painful death would await them. So it was no surprise that one of them, hired as lookouts around the Deuce Inn, spied both the falcon and the horseman and had made quick to inform her.

"What did he look like?" she inquired to the human male, dressed in variegated green and brown clothing who stood before her.

"His cloth and bearing were good, almost kingly. I saw gold and bronze colored armor. He wore a Tokunan helm cast in reddish-brown with a cape to match."

"Did you see any crests? Was anyone else with him?"

The man shook his head. "No insignia. I was too far away for that, but no one was with him. He was alone save for the falcon."

Nizzre nodded approvingly and gave the man a small pile of gold coins along with a few polished gems. "Get back to your station and keep vigil," she commanded. Bowing low, the scout pocketed the money and departed.

Nizzre made haste to find and inform Vaskiira.

Vaskiira received word from Nizzre. Her orders would still stand, any invasion or attempted extraction of the elf would result in a very painful death for her. It seemed human meddling would not be avoidable, she may need to move the Paladin or have another take over holding her. The few times she spoke with the elf, it was truly evident she did not remember who she was or anything from her past. The possibility of teaching her the drow ways was rather appealing.

Her thoughts drifted to the gathering to occur later that evening, she could always speak with the host, he may have some incite. She would make different arrangements, and keep he currant orders. Nizzre was capable and well versed in the ways of Lloth, there would be no mistakes.

She sent response back to Nizzre explaining to keep to the plan for now and to meet with her this evening for the gathering. She added if that falcon was spotted again to shoot it. Satisfied those hired would fear her wrath if they failed, she continued her preparations.

Scar submitted his plan to the Queen and Malic for the rescue of Lady Temptation:

"Malic and I will disguise ourselves as wandering clerics or adventurers to get inside the Inn. Once inside, and pretending to get drunk, one of us will excuse himself and go to locate exactly where she is being kept. Then the other will set fire to the place by "accident" to create a diversion and to use as a signal for the troops to close in. They will disarm or kill the lookouts I spotted and advance upon the place while we break in and get Tempt out. It is risky, yes, but I can think of no other way. Any better ideas?" he asked, looking at them.

The Queen regarded both men carefully, as she listened to Lord Scaramandine's plan. It was very risky, and if one step went wrong, the result may prove fatal. "I have entrusted both of you to this task, I feel this plan has possibilities but I wish both of you to err on the side of caution.", she said in an even tone.

Scar looked at her and she could see his sincerity, Lord Malic's eyes reflected the same sentiment. She decided to explain the events at last night's Regency meeting. The guest that joined them may have more information, and perhaps it would be best to find out what she knew before storming in. Looking again to both men seated in her great hall, she asked them to think carefully on this before taking action.

Malic and Scar stood at that moment and excused themselves. This was not easy for either of them, Lady Temptation was loved by both. Focusing back at the task at hand she gave them two days to return with their decision.
