The Baron stood looking at the wall tapestry of Sosaria, Yew in particular. He mused over last evening's events at the meeting of the Regency...

A few new faces were there: the Kaiser and members of Stahlkrieger expressed their desire for opening trade relations with the Regency.

Lady Ellesbeth gave a report of her efforts and work among Loyalist cities, showing her total devotion to the task of improving the quality of life within the Regency's sphere of influence and constituency.

Spawn's appearance and behavior was a surprise. Thrax was reminded of the absolutely chaotic nature of Oggaroth---nothing was out of bounds for him. He had handled the situation well, feigning surprise and anger, even putting himself in harm's way to defend the Regent and Council members as a show of bravado. The earthquake Oggaroth produced, one much stronger and longer than the spell variety, had proved to everyone that the god was alive and well and back in Spawn who was now, again, Public Enemy number one.

Magnate Isk's visit was a welcome surprise. He extended the olive branch from the Protectorate and while it was cooly received, it was not rejected out of turn. He would soon meet with Isk to discuss a number of issues, some political and some private.

Near the end, he had resumed his demogogery against the "crimes" of the government of King Sid against the citizens in Yew, Felucca, knowing that much of it was pure fantasy; that there would always be malcontents, many of them lazy and useless riff-raff, who would for a song or a gold piece be happy to criticize and lie about any government anywhere.

All in all things were going to his satisfaction.

His thoughts returned to the map, and Yew.

Soon!
