Her life had definitely changed since she had found the shard. A piece of what seemed to be glass…And then darkness…before she woke, finding herself in the woods in a land that seemed familiar, but was far from the home she had known. It was a fresh start; a new beginning to a chapter of her life that seemed not to have ended when she had…Died.

Her first task had been finding work. As a mercenary, she could have really worked for near anyone. However, she found herself wandering into Buccaneer’s Den, and being hired on as ship crew for a group of pirates. It wasn’t bad work. It was a job, something that would keep her hours awake occupied.

Kira glanced out over the waters that seemed to be a vast expansion, stemming out from the docks of Buccaneer’s Den. Pinned to her chest, her new badge, in her hand, the old guild badge she had once held at home. The letters read “LBRS” across it. She tossed it a bit, from one hand to the other, considering. Should she keep it as a reminder of her past?

The answer was simple. No. Taking in a deep breath, she pulled her arm back, launching it across the water. After hearing it hit the water with a thump, she sighed contently.

Best forget the past when a better life lays before you..
