I swear I saw it once. It had all the territories claimed by the different guilds in each facet.

I was looking around for it and I can't find it! Oh no!

If it was lost or something, I'm mostly just wondering if any guild has claimed Ice Island. I might be buying a small house up there and I would hate to intrude in what might be some warring guild land.

If no one has it claimed, I pronouce it Delan Land!

You can't claim it, Ice Island requires exactly 7 1/2 people in your guild, and you must sacrifice a ham sammich with a knife made out of cardboard at dawn while standing on your head.

Please be more informed of the rules in the future!

Sara,

Ice Island as you notice is carved into three sections. An ARPC guild with as little as one member and a house, or RP reason on one of those sections may claim a piece as a "home-base".

That essentially sums up the rules regarding the claiming of a land or territory. Any questions, or any claims feel free to PM them or Q them to me I shall set it up for you.

Three sections? I see only two.

Anyway, I don't really have any RP reasons for wanting to claim the land, just think it's pretty up there! Razz

I had gotten some advice that it might be easier to form a new character with a new guild and claim it that way, but I'd rather have Sara have it.

I'll keep thinking of reasons why she should own land. Or maybe just try to find some loophole in the ARPC land-claim rules. Wink

If anyone has any RP ideas that might help me here, let me know. I'm not very creative. Sad

Theres no real reason to claim land. its more of a think for kingdoms and guild of alts to establish. place a house, and love it there.. homes are default 7x7 to 18x18 claims, enjoy you annexation into tyranny.

Cear is right...if you like the land and call it your home you don't need the maps to legitimize it. The maps are more so for the borders of nations or kingdoms and guilds for use in the warring project.

Is this on Tram side, or Fel side?

If its on Fel side, that is where both Wintermoore AND Caina used to exist. You can be setting up a research post/archeological dig to learn more about the sites, and use it as a pretext to learn more about, a) Sosoria's past (via Wintermoore relics) or b) ancient necromancy and knowledge of the foundation of many of the evil empires of the "modern era".

If it is on Tram side, I know of no prior history there besides the occasional incursion of the MTC (in the distant past) for the sake of wargames or missions to Wintermoore/Caina back when you still needed the moonstones (or whatever they were called) to move between facets.

I'm gonna be on the Fel side.

But I guess I'll live with just having a house there. But if you Moonglowians try to take it, you'll have to answer to me!

I'll leave flaming bags of polar bear poop on your doorsteps! Muaha ha ha ha ha!

Well, from an RP standpoint, it's hard to find artifacts from a city I know nothing about out of game.

"Oh, hey. I found this sword... or book... or painting of a... person or thing."

I mean, if you can find me something to read that I could learn about them out of game, I might do that. I do,actually, enjoy reading about Atlantic RP history.

EDIT: After looking over the post again, I realized necromancy was mentioned. Now, being a member of Sanctus, I would need a PRETTY GOOD reason to be digging up necromantic materials without getting in trouble!
