As Pol and Anna are sleeping quietly in the next room, Thomas begins his journal entry by pulling out his journal...

Journal Entry - Truth

1. Let us never negotiate out of fear, but let us never fear to negotiate.

2. What we know is not much; what we do not know is immense.

3. We would often be ashamed of our finest actions if the world understood all the motives which produced them.

4. He who is not very strong in memory should not meddle with lying.

5. Justice consists of doing no one injury, decency in giving no one offense.

6. For I have sworn thee fair, and thought thee bright, who art as black as hell, as dark as night.
