Sarian stood atop the balcony inside the Nujelm Palace. He peered down towards the main fouyer. Placing his hands on the railing he leaned forward, letting out an exhausted sigh.

He had met with Beowulf the night before. The two met on neutral grounds in Moonglow, inside the temple of Honesty. It hadn't made sense to him, until Beo explained the situation at hand.

"So you see, it'd be extremely inconvenient if you took part in this duel. I know your Regent will be looking to you first. I need you to work with me on this. I'm asking you as an acquaintance."

Sarian had left the confrontation in a slight haze. It all seemed to meld together, but many questions left unanswered. Knowing the Governor-Regent would be nothing less than furious. He was unsure of whether to think up an excuse, or tell him what he knew.

Sarian pushed himself off of the railing to stand up straight. He made his way down the stairs out the front doors. His right hand rested comfortably on the hilt of his kryss. He begin his routine patrol around the palace perimeters.

From behind he could hear panting. Foot steps began to pick up speed as they got closer. Sarian spun around, his kryss half drawn. The body covered with a brown shroud came to an abrupt halt. Two hands shot up, showing they meant no harm.

"Remove your hood." Sarian demanded.

Koehn pulled his hood back and look towards Sarian. The Regents Champion let out a sigh.

"I can't believe he sent someone directly here." Sarian muttered quietly. "What is it?" He asked, glaring towards the boy.

"It's urgent that you meet with my father. He said you'd know what it was about." Koehn spat out. Usually he was an arrogant young man, but he had seen the demand in his fathers eyes.

"Tell him to travel by boat and to meet me at the bank within the next few minutes. Tell him to cover up, there's no need to alarm the guards and patrol party's."

The boy hurried off once again.
