It had been days since their correspondence and Bri could feel the hope beginning to escape her. She had reached out hoping in their time apart he could see she had little choice but to act as she had. She was beginning to lose the man she had fallen in love with, he was preoccupied and distant when they were together. She couldn’t bear to see him as half the man he was. Her hope in setting him free was for him to become whole again and find his way back to her. Instead he became even more distant, and even cold and angry. He had not seen what she had and her actions could have cost her the only man she could love as she had.
Sitting at her desk she contemplated writing to him again. Instead of his name, she began to pen the name of a friend whom she had not spoken to in some time. Perhaps the two could formulate a plan to open his eyes wholly again.
Smiling, she began her small note in hopes that she could still become whole again herself.
