There was something about the moonlight, Tempt couldn't put her finger on it. Perhaps it was how the sea glittered at night or the serene felling in the area. She loved the night, lately she would take walks in the dark on the evenings that Scar was away. It was quiet and peaceful, maybe this was something she used to do before, and that was why it brought her comfort. Regardless, it was beautiful night, and she felt ready to begin an attempt of becoming her true self. If that was what you could call it, as she was unsure.

The grass was soft and she kneeled upon it her sword before her, glinting in the moonlit night. Her armor pieces now bright and not as dark as Ishtar stated were also lain before her. In a ritualistic fashion she donned each piece one at time. Behind her a young man from New Haven helped secure the pieces, Xander was his name, and he journeyed to train under her. She turned to him after the last piece was secured and picked up her sword, "Well, let us see how this works? How do you like the new set?", she asked with a smile.

He cocked his head as he readied himself, "It suits you well my lady. Are you sure you are ready to try this?", he asked.

As she got in to a stance, she replied, "If I do not take a first step how will I walk again."

"Very well.", was all he spoke as he moved to engage her.

Sparks flew as steel clashed upon steal. The movements, felt natural. This was something she felt she did not forget as she parried and blocked, thrusted and almost danced to the rhythm of the "clanging" blades. Neither one of them heard the hooves of Scar's horse as they sparred in the dark. He was there though and he quietly moved to the side to watch, this was show he remembered her. Long ago at night, she trained with her blade, and he smiled as he saw a hint of the former Lady Tempt. Their escapade to Papua was cut short the other day and he was unable to spar with her, so it was good to see her do this.

As the pair seemed to tire and slow, both sheathed their weapons and Scar applauded. Both turned to face him and Tempt's face immediately reddened deeper as she wiped the sweat from her brow. "You still are graceful with a blade, my lady." he said as he moved closer.

"I thought you were to be in Magincia this night.", she inquired as she seemed to glide next to him. Xander faded into the background as he gathered their things and ran to the temple.

He smiled and removed his helm, "Well all was quiet and I thought I would check on you. Come, you must be hungry after your match. I take it the young lad is the one who wrote you?", he offered his arm and they walked to the temple.

She walked with him, though the sounds of her armor mixed with his were a bit loud in the calm landscape, "Yes he is, I felt having him come here would help with my memory. He is eager to learn and makes a good squire."

Scar nodded as he escorted her inside, they walked to the dining area. Xander was already portioning out plates and wine. The three sat and enjoyed a meal and good conversation. Tempt could see Scar sizing up the lad, though she was not worried, it was his way of making sure she would be protected. The past few weeks, she began to learn his temperament and knew how deeply he did care for her. She looked to both men, and let out a breath. "I have made a decision.", she announced and both men stopped and looked to her, now very quiet.

"What have you decided, and should I be frightened?", Scar teased.

She shook her head and the crimson locks, shimmered in the firelight, chuckling "No not scared. I have decided to petition New Haven and adopt Xander here", she smiled at both of them and Xander's fork hit his plate loudly. "I may never have children of my own and he has no parents like myself, so I want to have him as my family. Xander, are you alright with this?", she turned and asked him.

"I, well, um.", he stuttered as he tried to answer her, "I am honored."

"Good then it is settled, I will go to New Haven and finalize this tomorrow.", she picked up her goblet and made a toast to family. Scar, appeared unable to say much after her announcement. She knew when they went upstairs and he walked her to her room, she would hear his thought on the matter...
