Bae'vin entered the Den of Sin and paused at the door, looking about disdainfully. At first she saw no familiar faces, and took a table by herself after purchasing a pitcher of milk from the barman.

Not long after, a drow she had encountered previously on several occasions seemed to appear at her table from thin air. He sat, and they conversed in their native tongue.

Apparently, this offended a man who seemed to be a sea-faring pirate type. He barraged the pair with insults, hurled bottles in their direction, and peppered them with racial slurs. Bae'vin wondered to herself how someone so very far away could possibly overhear their conversation and briefly toyed with the idea that he possessed some sort of preternatural hearing.

The man more or less gave good reason to support the general dislike of humans that Bae'vin was rapidly developing.
