A multitude of moments passed as the spirit stood at the well. She really didn’t know why she was here. Yet she had been pulled, even dragged to this location. Confusion reigned in her head her death long ago, this realm now strange and unfamiliar. Yet she waited, there was purpose she could sense it. Any moment that which she was to encounter would appear.

Time echoed and people passed, they paid her no heed it wasn’t uncommon to see a spirit in Umbra hovering lightly by the Well of Souls. She watched a young girl with white hair vaguely familiar to her sweeping the steps of the alchemists shop. The rhythmic swishing of the bristles from her broom entrancing the spirit hypnotically. The sweet moment broken by a deep male voice calling the girl back inside. She watched as the small female scurried back inside.

Darkness sat heavily as it always did and the spirit heard noises that she had once known, the whinny of a horse, the steps of a man, the sound of a loom as it weaved… She waited as the bustle of the city calmed, all of it mattered so little now to her. She held her position, she was here for a purpose, dragged from her realm of calm to the bustle of life and death once more.

Green hair floating softly about her head, the tell-tale pierce of those green eyes, a gift of her mother, she watched him approach. Did he come here often? What business had he here and suddenly she knew all that had transpired in her life once more. She knew all that had transpired since her death for she felt the imprints of her family upon her trapped in his memories. Her husband paused he couldn’t mistake her soft green hair the color unique to women of her family. One of the reasons she had been perfect…

Jon…the words echoed timelessly, Why Jon? He was taken aback, it took much to make Jon Strathmore pause but the appearance of Eva after all this time meant something new to him, to all and he wasn’t sure what. He felt the amassing of familial spirits, she wouldn’t be the last, she wasn’t the first…

Perhaps she was just here to torment him, he surely deserved it. Though Jon had loved her, he had always loved his art, his craft, his science more, nothing would stand in its way not even Eva….

Eva the link between two families, bearer of both leading the silent way. The doors opened wide for the Strathmores and Gryfiths that which had remained silent and closed unlocked by their link. Who would pass thru their archways, who would join the eternal struggle once more. What attachments would drag these souls back to the living, back to this realm. It was coming like a storm, there was no good or bad here as is really truly the case in most battles. There is just one group struggling to dominate another…to win.

The words whispered from her lips hanging in the air…Even as I lay dying in your arms Jon.. he had given her life.
