She had been up all night trying to perfect her spell but time had run over.
Why was she suppose to do such a trivial thing. It was probably some sort of punishment. The man was good at that...
The bakers shop was unusually crowded, she gave a heavy scowl as she pushed her way thru the masses of annoying mortal women buying sweets and treats. The bakers eyes widened as Aggie walked up, she was no common looking woman and quite tall. She peered down at him and for a moment she felt the lick of that old familiar hunger her eyes darting to his neck.
It had been a while... *Shaking her head she belayed such thoughts* He was needed to make a cake, a rather fine confection. Jon was always determined to have things over the top for these gatherings.
She just hoped the simpleton could manage it. She gave her orders sharp and clear and held a heavy bag of gold out to him. He frowned, such odd requests?
One layer hollow with just a bit of cake around it? It made no sense but he certainly enjoyed the challenge. He stared at the woman who was indeed beautiful but in a haunting sort of way her eyes seeming to pass thru his body and see into the cellular structure of his being. A man she had shoved her way in front of was angrily starting to comment wanting his spot back in line. She dropped the bag of gold for the baker and turned her gaze flying over his face.
Here now wench I was in line afront of ye! The surly man looking for a bit of bread or a sweet treat was getting antsy. A smile crossed her lips, indeed wicked, and she stared down at the rotund man watching the blood race thru his capillaries. The scent of that rich redness growing far to tempting for her to leave alone.
His face paled as he stared at the woman and he felt sick. tThe blood in his veins sluggishly coming to a halt, starving his heart and brain, he gasped as if he needed air. She surmised this was quite true since the blood was refusing to supply the needed nutrient to his body. He stood on the verge of passing out. Then in a glorious moment, energy rippling from her body, the blood rushed forward pounding into his heart and brain with an intensity that was not expected nor well handled, his heart bursting from the impact. He slumped to the floor, blood oozing from his mouth everyone standing in shock.
A woman let out a soft yelp, aah someone help him hes sick! Yet it was far to late as Aggie stepped over the man.
Tsk, Tsk, he really ought to watch what he eats.... So much bread and sweets not good for a diet. She smirked feeling antsy and on fire.
She was elated at the feel of the mans blood surging thru his body like an uncorked vein. She shivered as she walked away her body tingling at the feel of it and the shop ensued in panic over the dead man.
She knew Jon would be displeased if he knew she had caused a scene but truly the man had simply suffered a heart attack..... |
