Merci smiled quietly to herself as she signed the official proclamation. It was her last act as Matriarch this day.


Citizens, military, and great people of Umbra.

It is with deepest love for my people and you that I step down from my position of Matriarch this day. I became Matriarch at a time when I was needed as such.

Yet I can only prove my ultimate loyalty to the realm to the Arch Matriarch, by knowing when it is time to release the reins of power.

You are in good hands, I have watched the exceptional leadership of Ceinwyn, her son and Warmaster Myrddin ab'Arawn and the SageMaster Malikhia .
