Merci laid still the cold wind whipping around her. You could barely see her as she laid in the bitter chill of the snow.
Grarine floated above her staring down. Merci d'Rue you are lost. Merci stared up her face cold rather frozen her heart devoid of emotion. Yes Lady I am. Where should I go from here?
Grarine shivered the darkness of the sky seeming to weave around them. Strange happenings come, they muddle your life. Yet your choice, Lady of Snow, was wise.
Frozen eyelashes blinked, bits of snow clinging to them. Yes wise, very hard but wise. One can not acheive their dreams and goals without sacrifice..Perhaps I should just close my eyes here and rest, forever sleep softly within the greatness of this mountain. Laughter soft and wild came to her ears. Lady of Snow you can not sleep..lazy fool.. Your task is not yet finished, do not go soft and weak because your pride eats your heart. Humility is a test of the greatest warrior, and it will prove that you are strong beyond these foolish things.
Foolish things.. Foolish things, the blue lips mutter softly, and a face rose to mind one she had no idea existed, but it was important. The woman scowled as she picked bits of armour from her flesh a huge gash in her side. She looked familiar..
Her eyes blue like Merci's she screeched loudly as if she could see Merci. ITS MINE! DO YOU HEAR ME MINE! A sword shoved thru Merci's middle and her eyes snapped open as she felt her body slam back into the snow. Her hands ran to her middle and surely enough it was wet with blood. she had been stabbed....and Grarine was no where to be found.
Shuddering she stood and packed ice inside the fiery wound and began to traverse down the mountain. Anyone could follow the trail that lead to umbra it dripped with blood congealing first in the snow then drop by drop to the gate.
She laid down in her bed her eyes heavy that eve, snow fresh in the wound, it had not melted, nor would it. She hoped it healed by morn, this was not something she wanted to explain... _________________ May destiny guide you... |
