Cinnamara leaned down, kissing Balin on the forehead, tucking him in safely in their bed. She turned slowly, looking to Davaran. “I take it that Dragan and Caia are asleep as well?” she asked, biting her bottom lip a bit. “Safe in their beds?”

“Yes dear,” Davaran nodded softly as he hung up his kasa on the edge of the bed.

“Good. Good. Dear, we definitely need to talk..” she said, turning slowly to him. Her voice was but a whisper, to not wake Balin. “What are we going to do about the vampires? They openly claimed to make a threat on our family,”

"They beloeve me to be wed to Ivory I think. Regardless, the children are to stay within ear shot at all times. Have one of the eldest stay with the younger one." Davaran furrowed his brow thoroughly before slipping$ an arm around Cinna and pulling her close.

"Troubled times dear, troubled times."

“I know dear. I'll send the children to my parents if I have to, to be able to keep them safe.. Its only a matter of time until they figure it out. What do we do then?” she asked, tilting her head.

“The same thing we always do. We will survive.” Davaran spoke with a sort of knowing sagelyness as he stared off into the flickering light of their bedroom.

“It seems like surviving is getting harder and harder these days... With a family to take care of and all.” she said, sighing. “Its a lot harder, keeping everyone safe.”

“It's the life we live dear, and the life we will live until we know peace.” Davaran leaned over and kissed her on the lips gently, looking into her eyes saying, “It's late, let us rest. We will talk in the morning.”

She nodded gently. “Aye...Best for us not to wake Balin...” she said, as she crawled into bed, followed by her husband, their baby asleep in peace between them, oblivious to the troubles around him.
