Veryo Soron laid down to rest his weary head, and as he did this he thought about the past night's unfortunate turn of events.

The orcs were out in force at Sanctus. They had taken Veryo captive for disobeying 'rules' and tortured him for a while at their base south of the Hostel. As they did this, they questioned him about various topics concerning elven culture and physical attributes.

Veryo was rescued shortly after, before any information was leaked out, and later met up with a small task force to defeat the orcs. Unfortunately, the task force had been beaten back.

Later that night Veryo explained to Khyl 'Dran in gruesome detail what the orcs did to him at their fort. How they first locked him in a cell that reaked of horse meat, and later shackled him to a wall for interrogation.

Khyl pondered on why the orcs would do any sort of interrogating, seeing as how the orcs normally do not seek knowledge. Then it had occured to him. Perhaps someone or something had told the orcs to seek elven knowledge and report back? It seemed like a logical assumption.

After much deliberation, Khyl told Veryo and the elves to prepare for battle...
