There it was again, that sharp sting in her leg. She cried out into the comforting darkness of the WIT barracks in pain. Her father stood by, his presence a small comfort to the young ab'Arawn. Her tiny hand grasped his index finger as the dull ache began to fade. His warm red eyes were on her and she cooed in delight. She tried her best to keep her own eyes open, but eventually gave in to the overwhelming sleepiness that always accompanied the growth injections in one so young.
