Vaen sat and smiled as he watched the miners of Felucca Minoc mine in the caves nearby, knowing that they are under good protection. In the miners, was Vaen's very own father, Firal.

Out of no where recalled in a group of murderers. They just stared all the miners down, and the miners slowly backed up. Vaen stepped forward with his sword drawn, ready to attack at a moments notice.

The mages wasted no time in casting spells towards Vaen, and Vaen struggled to heal himself. Spell after spell, the Mages seemed to be too much for Vaen. Vaen fell to the ground, glancing up at the mages. He struggled to heal himself quickly, but the mages continued to poison him, inabling him to fully heal his wounds.

The mages all laughed as they prepared means for the final hit. However, out of no where, some seven miners rushed in and started bashing on the murderers with their pickaxes. Firal rushed to Vaen's aid, supplying him with water and helping him with his wounds. Although the miners overpowered the mages completely, the mages were able to escape.

Vaen stood up and nodded to all of the miners. "Thank you all... I... was not entirely prepared for that."

The miners nodded. "You have saved us countless times. There comes a time every once in a while when we can do the same for you."

Vaen smiled and sat back down, keeping an eye on the area where the mages recalled in, as the miners went back to work.
