The morning broke damp and chilled outside the window of the inn in which she lay. It was such a luxury, to sleep inside, beneath a roof, with a warm fire nearby. Zeyla was tired from the last few days. So much had happened. She felt the thrill of change coming.

The young woman got out of her bed and took another blanket from the stand at the foot of the bed, adding it to the several already there. She gave a mighty stretch and crawled beneath the comforting blankets, and reached for the book on the night table.

With a serious expression, she picked up where she had left off late the night before.

This is called higher breeding. Nature dictates...

The following night, Zeyla snuggled down into the bed in her rented room. Buried beneath a pile of blankets and propped up on several pillows, she read until the wee hours of the morning. When she finished the book, thoughts of how right the points made in it were filled her head as she snuffed the candles. Thus thinking, she fell asleep with a small smile on her face.
