Below is a copy of Regency Charter regarding Elections and roles from the time of the reign of Kronos...

Preamble
In the name of the Virtues, from which comes our inspiration and our conviction, we, the people of Britannia do hereby adopt, enact and give to ourselves this Code of Laws.

The Nation of Britannian hereby affirms it's inalienable right to choose it's own form of government, to determine it's relations with other Nations and to develop it's life, political, economic and cultural, in accordance with it's own genius and traditions.

These laws apply to all Branches and Loyalists territories within each of the facets, including Ilshenar, regardless of affiliation. (In others words, if you're within loyalist territory, you are required to recognize and abide by these laws).

Article I - The Law

Section 1 - The Source of Law
Designation of legislature is hereby vested in the Grand Parliament who, during their sessions, can make laws, debate laws and if they are passed by a majority vote, forward the proposed change to the Regent for approval and announcement to the Populace. The Regent has sole and exclusive power to overrule any new laws or changes to existing law passed by the Grand Parliament.

Ammendments to this Code of Laws shall be presented as changes, additions or deletions to specific articles or sections.


Article II - The Regent
There shall be one Regent of Britannia, hereinafter refered to as the Regent, who shall take precedence over all persons in the Britannian Nation and shall exercise and perform the powers and functions conferred on by our King, Lord British.

The Regent shall hold office until death, unless before that period they resign, become permanently incapacitated or are removed from office by a unanimous vote of all Grand Parliament members. In the event of the absence of the Regent, his temporary incapacity, death, resignation, removal or failure to exercise and perform the powers and functions of his office, or at any time that the office of the Regent may be vacant, the powers and functions conferred upon the Regent by this Code of Laws shall be exercised and performed by the Court of Advisors until such time that a new Regent takes office.
