Tristin began his life in Jhelom, to a father named Joseph and his mother Elizabeth. Little is known of Tristin's mother, each and every time she was or is brought forth in conversation, the subject is avoided.

His father and uncle raised Tristin. His father, who spent every waking moment in the Fighting pits, taught Tristin how to use almost any one-handed weapon. Tristin would train with his father in the pits against a slew of potential enemies. He fought swordsman, archers, mages, a few necromancers and even a few paladins during his time in the Fighting pits and from it all has become a very well rounded warrior.

His uncle, on the other hand, took what Tristin's father was teaching him and showed him how to guild the forces of a battle in his favor. His uncle was trained in the ways of the Samurai, who spent many months on the Tokuno islands in a dojo of masters slowly becoming one himself. This knowledge he pasted to Tristin. Tristin learned to use his weapon as an extension of his body, feeling what was to happen next rather than anticipating it.

When Tristin was 20 years old his father was badly injured in the fighting pits, Tristin took the time to learn the art of healing from the local healers in Jhelom in an attempt to help his father. Sadly the injuries endured by his father would eventually lead to his death. At this point the only person Tristin was related to that he knew was his uncle, who now lives in Mokoto-Jima, and that is where Tristin went after his father’s death. Living on his uncle's land and using his fighting skills to earn enough to pay his rent, Tristin continued to become better with the sword and his knowledge of ancient Samurai fighting skills.

At the age of 26, Tristin left Mokoto-Jima in search of work somewhere else, possibly with better pay or with better women. He traveled all over Sosaria, lending his fighter experience in trade for pay, until one day he wondered to Luna in search of work.

Fairly new to the realm of Luna, Tristin Nitebane now rents a room from Olath Tagnik`zur in his home within Sanctus. At first Tristin took the room because of the exceptionally low price Olath was planning on charging him and to see if he could scrape together a few gold pieces. Now Tristin is a part of the ranks of Sanctus, though his intentions are not fully known to others, he alone knows why he remains in the City of Light.
