Armies clashed for control of Britain in Trammel and alliances were forged and dissipated on whim. Festive tavern nights and parties took place across the land and few paid attention to the unnatural quiet that lay over Umbra. Few gave it second thought, for they believed that quiet meant slumbering. After all, was not the Order of the Ebon Skull now nothing more than something the citizens told their children to make them stay in bed? Were not the acts of Oggaroth and Bailos and other dark forces a thing of the forgotten past? Rarely had any seen a sign of war from sleepy Umbra.
