For many reasons, Xana rarely attended the various tavern events and lately had been keeping to herself . . . probably too much, if she would have stopped to think about it. But somewhere in her travels she heard tell of a new location being celebrated by one of the clans of Tokuno, based in Zento. The Blue Lotus, what a pretty name, she thought to herself and decided that it was time to get out and enjoy herself, no matter how temporarily.

Having never been a great traveler of these mystical lands, Xana was pleasantly surprised as she stepped through the moongate by the city proper. Immediately, she noticed the soft and pleasing notes of distant music both instrumental and natural. How fascinating was the crane that strolled by her, taking absolutely no notice or fear of her presence. Leaning heavily on her staff and trying to ignore the flares of pain from her foot up through her leg, she wound her way through the streets until she came across what had to be the property of this Blue Lotus clan.

Wandering inside, she found the place to be stunning on every aesthetic level. How very pleasing it was to her senses. Soon enough she found herself in good company both new and familiar. It seemed all too soon the hours passed by, and the patrons dispersed singularly and in small groups. The accommodating nature of those natives whose dojo she visited was not missed on the wandering bard, and she decided to stay a while.

Perhaps a little time in such a pleasant environment, near such intriguing people is just what the healer ordered, she thought. At the very least she could learn new elements to add to her musical abilities. In the darkness of the wee morning hours, she made her way to the nearby inn and requested an open ended stay for which she paid in advance.

A kimono. I must have a kimono, was her last thought as she snuggled down onto the soft, clean futon and began the short journey into sleep.
