Greetings all,

I am returning to Atlantic (and UO, in general) after nearly 9 years. I was an avid roleplayer when I played here before and I'm coming back to the shard and the game in the hopes of becoming an avid RPer all over again.

I have a few general questions about the RP scene here:

1) Generally, things appear active RP-wise, but who are the major RP guilds still around?
2) Are any RP guilds warring? Is there any RP-Conquest going on (the maps indicate that there isn't, but they might not be accurate).
3) With the SE expansion I imagine a few Samurai/Ninja RP guilds have sprung up--who are they? I've heard of Blue Lotus, but that's about it.
4) Is there an active, assassin-themed guild out there? Contract killers, ninjas for hire or something like that? Not just pure "we're evil, we kill people" themes, but merc/assassin/ninja-for-hire stuff?
5) If the answer to number 4 is no, are there RP-PVP themed guilds out there? (that PVP with other RPers, not the general red community)

I'm looking forward to getting back into the RP scene here. Being a "good guy" isn't my thing, but being pure evil for the sake of evilness isn't me either. Ideally I hope there is a nuetral guild out there that does some warring/pvp with the rest of the RP community, or a good/evil guild that doesn't mind a true-neutral.

If there are any other ninja guilds they aren't as cool as the BL Wink

And we like to fall under all three of those categories... come check us out mayhaps?

This is a tough question, there are many active guilds around some old some new. To name a few there is, Umbra, MTC, Sanctus, Blue Lotus, Triad, The Zog Cabal,Stonegate,Cappadocians... the list goes on and on.... I beleive theirs a link to the current ARPC guilds here in the assembly hall. Please forgive me if I didnt list your name.

The warring goes back and forth from what I understand the Protectorate is trying to retake its land from the Cappadocian vampire clan, there may be more I dont know about. This can change at any time. We just went thru alot of land warring so this maybe why there isnt much right now.

Number#3 I will add only that there are a few other Tokuno guilds with samurai Ninja rp but I dont want to mess it up so I will let them speak here. Blue lotus is a very active one right now.

There is indeed a few of these out there, I know the drow have just started up a guild that does assassin/spy rp. Also I think Triad is a bit of a for hire guild as they specialize in getting people what they want. There are quite a few i hope they see this and speak up!

As for PVP there are many guilds that participate in this but we all agree that rp is at the forefront. I know MTC does alot of training as well as Umbra, Blue Lotus, Sanctus, and ourselves. However the rp is what we focus on.

And who says he can't be a Drow? Drow are ALWAYS hiding in the shadows, says so in the books that have been written. I would suggest The Syndicate for you. Hit up Alaundril.

Thanks for the great responses everyone!

I’ve made some cautious initial contact with the Blue Lotus Clan, we’ll see where it leads!

It’s really nice to see such an active RP community. The one active RP “freeshard” that I was considering for my UO return just didn’t have the same feel that my old home of Atlantic does—so I’m glad to find RP still alive here. Besides, they don’t have ninjas, and well, that sucks. Evil or Very Mad

See all of you (future friends, future enemies and future “marks” alike) out there soon. Wink
