After hearing of the Lich Lord's orders Serena had fled from her home and arrived in Luna where she was to meet Catalana,leaning against the stable doors she pulled her hood over her head and watched the people as they moved around.

"Serena...gather your horse and lets go...,"she heard a familiar voice say causing her to look up then nod as she signaled the stable boy to bring out her horse,"we have to move quickly...,"Catalana said as she eyed everyone around them,"where is Malic...?,"Serena asked as Catalana sighed softly,"still in Sanctus somewhere...he sent me to the winter home weeks ago..,"she said as Serena climbed onto her geldings back.

"We have an escort...,"Catalana said as she motioned with her head to the three armed guards standing near the gate,"I have to send word to Aaralynn...tell her not to return to Sanctus...,"Serena said softly as they turned their horses and rode to the gate,"Don't worry about Aaralynn...she is safe where she is ..,"Catalana said indicating it was best not to reveal the locations out loud.

Serena nodded her head as they stepped through the gate and began the long ride through Luna heading towards what she hoped to be refuge.

"Catalana....perhaps we should leave Luna all together....,"she said as Catalana shook her head,"our winter home's location is not known to anyone but a few we will be safe there...,"she said as Serena nodded her head,"but if it becomes known...,"she said as Catalana reined in her gelding and looked to her cousin,"then we leave..,"she said as she once again spurred her horse.

Serena could tell that her cousin by marriage was worried about her fiance,she herself had watched the hardships Cat had went through only to see them make her stronger. Shaking her head she looked down to her own wedding band and sighed softly,Varlan had been gone for quite awhile out on another adventure with James leaving her and Penny to wonder if they were alive or not.

"We're here..,"Catalana said causing Serena to snap out of her trance and look up,her eyes widening at the huge house before them,sliding off her gelding she passed the reins over to a stable boy then followed Catalana inside,"make yourself comfortable..I need to send a message to Spawn...,"Catalana said as she disappeared into the study.

Shedding her cloak Serena moved over and sat down on the couch,watching the flames in the fireplace dance as her mind once again drifted off.
