Eddard Vahanian wandered through the forest. His armor was in tatters and his body gaunt from the lack of food. He was no hunter. And before he had decided to leave on this treck he had not thought it out. Another spur of the moment decision that came back to stab him in the back. He was tired and missed home terribly. He could almost smell the sea air, that familiar scent of the workings of magic. Moonglow had become apart of him and he could not deny it. His heart felt as heavy as a boulder and his legs felt the same. He had long since traded off his horse for supplies and those to were nearly spent. He stood still staring up at the sky through the leaves and branches. With a heavy sigh the memories of home and friends flooded through his vision and a smile crept across his lips. How long had it been since he had smiled? He could not remember. He turned looking in the opposite direction of where he was traveling. Home. His foot lifted and fell, leaves and branches crunching underneath. A new vigor filled his muscles and he found that his hunger had passed and his heart had lifted. It was time to go home. How long would it take for him to get there? The thought immediately fled, it did not matter. All he knew is he was heading in the right direction this time. And one foot fell in front of the other....
