So my poor little Frankenputer finally did its final dance yesterday. Sad, sad. Yes yes. Happy news, I got a new tower.
Everything is wonderful except for one thing.
Everything looks wonky! Especially UO. Everything is a little too short and wide. I've never encountered something like this. As far as I can tell everything is set the way it should be.
Any ideas anybody? |

Did you get a new monitor?
Check your desktop resolutions .. 1600x900 is good for a widescreen |

Monitor's not new. Tried many different resolutions to no avail. Some stuff looks great and other stuff looks really weird. Too wide and short.
I remember when the monitor was added to my old Frankenputer we had some issue or other and got it worked out, but that was XP.
I'm new to Vista and so far not very impressed or happy.

That pic actually looks fine to me. Is that just a small section of it, though, or is that the extent of your screen visual? Try doing what Moreta says, even though it's the same monitor it might be the PC that needs fiddling for resolution. |

I've been tinkering and playing. The reality is I'm probably just too stressed and frustrated over this and other irl things to really see that darn proverbial forest and its bloody trees...
This is definitely not what I'm used to seeing. |

My game looks exactly like that, hahahaha..
Vista sucks. No matter how many times I've tried to use it, it always ends up making me angry and I go back to XP. |
