Dear Journal,
Today we had a strange unfolding on our Isle of Verity.. As I was doing my usual patrols to the south, I passed the Armory and noticed some books laying in a very strange place on the road. I found it so odd I picked them up and read them. One, a disturbing poem about a dragon and chaos.. The other, a hit list on some of our members. I found it funny they were misinformed of there titles with in the council, they were more or less, out of date. I swiftly put the books in my back and headed toward the head quarters to the west of the isle. When i got there it was surrounded by our militia I handed the books to the mayor and noticed there was a frightened young lady standing alone on the stairs, she was quite wounded and did not look like she was in good health.. I went to her feeling like she needed a friend, held out my hand and told her my name.. I never did get hers, but I hope that when she thinks back on Moonglow she remembers my friendship. We went and spoke about her terrible encounter with an evil Drow and her time spent in umbra over some cold water. I can not imagine the horrors that fell upon her. With some kind words a small understanding and trust formed between us. I assured her that our militiamen were brooding but no harm would ever come to her and I would stay with her until we got her home or to safety. Nazereth came down and interrupted our conversation telling us we were needed and we soon went back upstairs and outside. A look of relief crossed her pale soft face as her eyes met those of her kind that were waiting eagerly outside for her. I only wish I new her name, I don't have many friends in this cold world. I hope she recovers well and that some day our paths will again cross.
