Sortok sunk into the chair in his office, removing his helmet and whipping the sweat off his brow. He recalled much of the nights events in rapid succession as he recorded the names of those who performed their duty as Moonglow's safety ran on thin ice.

He went back in memory to the moment he, along with his men, spotted a drow retreating from Moonglow's gates as they spotted him. Then he recalled the citizen Hikiko as she lay unconscious on the ground and next to himself the Mayor and Vice Mayor. He worried diplomatic relations would thin between the ranks of Glow and the Lotusts. Then finally recalled the meeting between the leaders of the two parties

"Really... Another attempt by hateful eyes to ignite a war..." Sortok softly whispered to himself, too tired to say such in an angry tone. He swayed in his desk putting a palm to his face wondering what his father of legend would do in his place, to have to do the horrendous burden of detaining people who were no different than the friend and he grew up with, the drow Logan. He stood up pushing his chair in and walked to the window overlooking the city, crossing his arms behind his back. He assured himself that all the precautions taken that night were merely for the betterment of Moonglow. He nodded solemnly, "This is the right choice..."
