spending the early morning hours to gather his things takumi made ready for his trip. a few days prior he recieved word that his brother needed him. after taking a quick glance around he headed upstairs to let edda know he was on his way. "ill be back before you know it" he told her has he kissed and hugged her. after taking a quick glance around the room takumi headed towards the skara brae docks to await the ferry boat that would take him to the main lands.

traveling for several hours he finally arrived at his destination a remote island to the north of makato-jima. stepping off the boat takumi tossed the boat captain a pouch filled with coins "for your trouble" he told him as takumi headed off towards the village. it didnt take long till he found his brother in the center of the village telling stories of adventure to a group on young children. looking up bunta saw takumi and with a big grin on his face he rant to his brother and hugged him. "now this one can tell you stories of battle" he said with a excitement in his voice. takumi smiled and said "perhaps later now what is it you needed, i recieved your letter." bunta laughed "you already forgot didnt you, its my birthday and who better to spend it with then my own brother"

a big feast was prepared later that evening and the two brothers sat by the fire telling stories to the people gathered. as the night grew late very few remained and takumi sat staring into the fire with a akward sense of happiness. bunta looked at his brother and asked him "is anything wrong you got quiet all of a sudden" takumi slowly turned to him and told him that he needed to tell him something and that it was important.


"i met someone and its someone i care deeply for" he said. staring into the flames he went on to tell bunta the story and how his closest friend turned into a love he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. bunta turned to him with a serious look on his face "what do you mean by the rest of your life". "well i intend to ask for her to marry me" takumi said with a smile on his face. his brother patted him on his back and told him if thats what he felt that he should go ahead and do it. takumi nodded and told him its not the right time yet he wanted it be sure everything was timed perfectly. after talking some more takumi stood and relized morning was fast approaching he said his farewells and said he needed to get home. takumi couldnt bare the thought of staying away longer then necassary.

the morning sun was beginning to rise as he finally made it to mazewood. he walked into the bedroom just as edda was beginning to open her eyes.....

A ray of sun danced across Edda's face as she lay in bed, sleeping. She stretched out a little, disappointed to feel the empty spot next to her. Opening her eyes, she looked across her room to see Takumi just returning.
He grinned and climbed onto the bed and kissed her forehead.
"I told you I would hurry back" he told her, barely above a whisper.
She smiled and pulled him into the bed and he wrapped his arms around her. She sighed happily and fell back to sleep.
