Looks like our shard gets to host the Rares Festival again. *cheers*

Tentative dates appear to be at the end of September, but I'll post more information as its confirmed.

what was it I spent last time for people to get the rares they wanted? close to 500mil? ... not sure I can afford it again!

What exactly is a rares festival?
Like an auction or like a fair where people buy/trade/sell rares with other rare collectors?

Here we go folks. This is an excellent chance for our RP community to get some attention and perhaps find new people to get interested in RP.

The festival would take place at [Treasure Trove] Island, at my house.

It will be a 3 day event, specifically 25th, 26th, and 27th of September. Join in as collectors from across the lands bring in their treasures for both trading and displaying. If you are interested in registering for a vendor then please head on to the Rare Collector's forum and register there.

There are also many opportunities for making some gold by working for the three day festival.

Currently hiring:

1) Heralds: Gating, dropping runes, you name it! Rate: 2M gold/hour

2) Beggars: Are you a skillful beggar who can squeeze a coin or two from the most heartless fella? Looking for role playing beggars to liven up the mood. Rate: 4M gold/hour (Tips not included)

3) Entertainers: Can you jump burning hoops on a llama? How about flying on the coat-tails of a Gargoyle? If you are the type that can provide entertainment, whatever your special skill, contact me. Rate: 4M gold/hour (Tips not included)

Sorry, I missed your message Sarian. Its usually a 2-3 day event with several mini events. Last time, we held some scavenger hunts, raffles, etc.

Essentially, rares collectors from all the different shards converge on one shard for a weekend of mass trading, talking, etc. Vendors are set up where they can sell their rares between themselves and the general public. There has been auctions before, but I don't know if they'll do one this year. If nothing else, its really neat to see some of the items you don't get to normally see.

If you need some one to gate and droping runes to it I can do that , I volunteer just give me rune to it to make copies and gate to it =) Yayaya rare festival , maybe I will meet another person again. That where i meet Kimy, so cant wait for it. Also Ariana , Kimy if ya need help with like carrying stuff to guys vender i can help ya , i will get packy or any help at all.

This officially starts tonight, however vendors are setting up now and we have quite a crowd gathering already.
Even if you aren't in the market to buy, its really cool to see some items that normally may not be found on our shard.

I have locked runes to the location at Dragonstorm Marketplace on the steps. Dragonstorm is at the southeast bridge of Umbra.


Program for the festival:

*Friday 5:45 PM EST: Welcome to the festival
*Friday 6:00 PM EST: Official starting time
*Friday 9:00 PM EST: Scavenger Hunt by Kimberly
*Saturday: Manticore will be available at festival for Q&A
*Saturday 6:00 PM EST: Easter Egg Hunt
*Sunday 5:00 PM EST: Winner of the early registration prize announced
