The note was quietly swept up and delivered to Myrddin. A messenger sent to find Fiona. _________________ May destiny guide you... |

Fiona heard two sharp knocks at the courthouse door. She made a face as she closed the book which, until the interruption, had her complete attention. Annoyed, she hopped out of bed and sighed, absentmindedly rubbing her swollen belly, as she made her way across the room. She was careful not to disturb the handsome male sleeping next to her as she left.
Opening the front door, she saw a young male elf standing there. Fiona gritted her teeth.
"What?", she demanded.
"My apologies for disturbing you, ma'am. I have urgent news from...the other Lady d'Rue."
"Merci." she whispered, now concerned, as she snatched the note from his hands.
Fiona closed the door without a "goodbye" and ran to her desk, ripping apart the wax seal.
She chewed her lower lip as she read the parchment.
"Vas Flam" she said, destroying the note. |

Having read the letter, Myrddin Ab'arawn stared down at the parchment for a long time. The possibility of this being a trap was high, he recalled how the mercenaries had informed him only days ago that other orcs had the same red glow in their eyes that he had seen in the chieftains'. Furthermore, the orc had either been in such a rush to write it, whether it was a trap or not, that they hadn't actually signed it. He'd have to send anything he wrote to Fiona in the hopes she could correctly discern the writing.
After deliberating for a long time, and deciding that Fiona herself would be more welcome to the orcs than most other guardians would be, his decision was made.
He sat down to write a letter:
Greetings Fiona,
I have received word from an orc that further confirms a magical influence over Grash'nak. It has also confirmed that several other orcs are being controlled in this manner. I am unsure whether or not to trust this message, but it seems more sincere than forgery. I'd like you to take a look at the attached letter and arrange a meeting. Please do so as quietly as possible, and do not alert any other orcs to this if you can help it.
The chieftan's eyes were not red in the entirety of his time in our cell, so it is extremely likely that other orcs under this influence may not appear to be so.
Please send word when you can.
-Myrddin Ab'arawn
