As he woke, Dealthagar untangled his sinews and flesh from his lover's, returning where they had melded and his hands back to "normal". He chuckled as she rolled over. He wasn't sure there was any definition of the word normal that applied to him anymore. Casting his nightclothes aside, he dressed in a fresh set of silks and leather.

"You're still thinking too human."

He admitted he was to her, and she allowed him to attempt to pleasure her, only to realize, simple human stimulation was pointless and meaningless to beings such as them. Thier anatomy was fluid, and as such could be coaxed to serve whatever need they wanted.

He had cheated, perhaps. Using his curse, knowing how it would affect her. It was more important to understand how fluid they were, allowing thier nerves to mingle together, sensation dance between them, not truly hers, not truly his.

Yes, part of him was still too human. The sensuality of a kiss, the warm comfort of nuzzling in his lover's neck, the cool teasing of fingers dancing across a sweaty back after a passionate evening. These were all things he loved. Things he desired, and still found alluring. There was much to be said about the desire generated by a beautiful woman in clothing that barely contained her, as opposed to the crass naked form of one of the common gypsy wenches in Minoc. Lust was common and simple. Desire was an art.

Perhaps it was time to "borrow" a few of the wenches of Minoc. If he was to truly understand and shed his humanity, he would need to see how far the form could be pushed.
