It was a lovely day and Archwarden Itannar decided it was past time he visit Yew's Shrine of Justice. He had not been there for awhile and chided himself for it. His brother, Miraj, a paladin, had given his life to free an innocent from the clutches of a minion of Oggaroth. Itannar used the time to visit the shrine to remember and mourn him.

He rode up to the Shrine and was immediately aghast at what he saw. The shrine was utterly defaced with bloody markings in elvish:

This is what we think of thy virtues, humans!

Keep out of Heartwood, dogs!

So much for your "superiority"

This is only a foretaste of what is to come!

He found a small pile of human ears, cut into elvish shaped ones lying in front of the ankh. Managing to keep his temper, he spent the rest of the day cleansing the shrine, bringing pails of water from the shore nearby to wash down the walls. On one of the trips to get water, his foot hit something made of glass. Looking down he saw a milk pitcher having dried blood stains within it, and an inscription: Made in Blackmarsh. He picked it up and placed it in his backpack. Now where have I heard that name? he wondered to himself. He didn't know, but he knew someone would.
