Have you ever felt that for all your efforts and goals, your best laid plans were never to be realized? Yasa had felt that way since she first came to Moonglow. Her only desire had been to learn magic and get out. Somehow, she instead got drawn into the council. Then, she needed to show honesty. Yasamin had never been one to follow the virtues. At sixteen, if you asked what virtues she followed, she'd have smirked and dismissed you for being so naive. Yet, she was learning honesty. Well, as much as one who prefers shadows can anyway. But she had talents. She could use her talents to become... a merchant? Again, she watched her plans shift as she began to study accounting and business instead of magery or any magical arts. Now, fate mocked her again and gave her another unplanned intervention.

The idiot was a mercenary. They hated each other from the word go. She'd never been fooled by his bluster, and indeed, was the one who contemplated making a new law to figure a way to thwart him. (Sadly she was outvoted.) Now she watched him massaging cows, seeing a different side to all his bluster. Everyone kept asking when they'd get married, and she'd laugh it off, usually followed by some form of violence against his arm. (She to this day, hated men in armor. It just plain hurts when you hit it!) Again, he was a plan definitely gone astray.

Also, mayor. Anyone who even had an inkling of who Yasamin was would never say, "Ah, yes, she'd make a fine mayor." Instead they'd start laughing and refuse to believe you until you thwopped them on the head. Yet, there she was, being respectable, avoiding any scandal, and attending meetings. She'd be the last to admit that a few of them amused her, but then, no one liked to hear that. Yet she found herself at meetings, and other mayoral functions, arguing when it mattered, and staying quiet when it didn't. And occasionally acting silly for the pure amusement of being silly. Yet the girl had summed it up perfectly. She's tricky and, for Glow's sake, she'd stay tricky. Ad pray that fate didn't change its mind on that too!
