A wolf searches the lands of Minoc hoping to find Xana.

Attached around his neck is a necklace with a snowflake upon it, enchanted to never melt. Crafted by Merci.

Sister of Winter,

I am dispersing your gift amongst our clan, I wished to extend my thanks for the bags of items and return to you a smal gift. A token of my esteem. The Winter Solstice is an important moment for a Cryomancer such as myself. The chill in the air only strengthens me during the wintry months.... Again please extend my thanks to your clan. You and your clan are always offered safe passage and visitation in Stonegate. The wolves shall guide you safely should you ever need to seek me out...

Merci d'Rue
Oracle of Stonegate
Lady of Snow..

The wolf did indeed find Xana as she limped her way around the camp offering her compatriots food, clothing, bedrolls, and other assorted gifts bestowed upon them by Her Grace Ariana Lenoir of Umbra. It came as quite a shock, to have such a beast come loping toward her with its fearsome and powerful strides. But the wolf did not attack, and instead gained her attention by nuzzling her hand and seating itself before her. Immediately she noticed the necklace and snowflake. Receiving the wolf's message with a sense of awe, Xana went to the center tent where she knew she could find parchment and quill. There, she sat at the astrologer's table and penned a reply. It seemed odd to have a wolf accompany her as she did this, as if the beast anticipated taking something home with it.

Lady of Snow, and Oracle of Stonegate d'Rue,
Thank you for taking the time to send your missive. I must say, your messenger is an impressive one!
It is good to know the Solstice gifts were well received by you and yours.
The snowflake is beautiful, a true thing of magical beauty. How can I possibly express gratitude for such a gift?
I shall pass along your decree of safety to the clan, and let them know not to fear the wolves. To be welcome in any land is a blessing for many of us.

Fond Winter tidings,
Xana
