Umbra is a city of scholars, crafters and artisans. Although a military is needed to keep our freedoms safe, our citizenry does not need to live under the auspice of fear or the threat of violence and war.

Due to the violence and bloodshed that has beset the lands over the last few weeks, a ban of all warmaking arms has been placed on the City of Umbra Proper, except when in the hands of designated agents of the Umbran Guard and the South Malasian Alliance forces.

Weapons found in the possession of anyone unauthorized to possess said arms within the Umbran City Limits will be confiscated and placed into the possession of the Umbran Armory. Travelers partaking of business within the city limits may present carried weaponry to the Umbran City Guard or an authorized agent of the Southern Malasian Empire before entering the city, or at the Moongate platform to be returned to them upon leaving the city.

Resisting reposession of unathorized arms is punishable by a fine of 10,000 gold and 3 days in confinement at the Oubliette.

Proper woodcutting hatchets, small knives, hunting bows, mining tools and other impliments of work are not covered under the ban. All agents of the city and empire are authorized to use their best judgements.
