The four men casually left the Covenant Castle. Following in the wake of Gerard, Cal and Orelen, Denzin was the last to exit the doors. As they reached the outside grass, the Mayor let out a sigh of relief.
"I rather like that Thraxas fellow. He's realistic and easy to get along with." Denzin stated.
The Mayor made a circular motion with his hands and pointed to a spot in front of them, "Vas Rel Por".
A magical red portal erupted from the ground. Its vibrant glow lit up a small radius around the four men. One after another they stepped through the portal, appearing in front of the Blackmarsh Tavern & Inn.
"This has all turned out much greater than I expected. Easier too. The warriors of Stonegate and Tokuno will be most pleased to hear of our victory. Now to put our work in motion." Denzin spoke, his voice was crisp and clear. A confident and commanding tone egressed from his lips.
"Gerard, I want you to return to Cove. Take with you a few tradesmen. Together, I want you to reform our two massive outposts beside the City. Instead of wood, I want you to use eminent stone, like the buildings here in Blackmarsh.
Dedicate a building as an armory. A place to safe house the citizens if an attack is to ever take place. We require a building that can be used to defend attacks and to arm our soldiers with every weapon necessary.
Dedicate another building, as an annex of Blackmarsh itself, a common house of sorts. I want a place for our men to be able to visit and stay at while in Cove. In that building, I want you to build your private residence. From this day forth, you'll be the Cove Warlord. With that, you're expected to organize trainings for our soldiers in the City. Allowing them to better adapt themselves for protecting it."
Gerard nodded in response. Denzin turned around and focused his attention to Cal.
"Cal, gather up meat and vegetables from the Blackmarsh farm. Together we will make our way to the City of Yew, on foot. Each house will be presented with a slab of meat and a basket of vegetables. We shall introduce ourselves.
We will meet with each of the working citizens in the Abbey and other buildings of the City. Everyone will be gifted with the fine foods of our town. We will develop a relationship with the citizens and aid them in daily routines.
It is your job to ensure them that their City is now safer than ever before. Although murderers will still fight their battles amongst eachother in that territory, we will establish a military in the City to work towards protecting them. Unlike their previous King, who left them to fend for themselves. It's your job to organize trainings for our soldiers in Yew. From this day forth, you'll be the Yew Warlord."
Both Cal and Denzin nodded to eachother. To their right, the doors of the tavern flew open. Sarian strolled outside. He glanced back and forth to each of the four.
"How'd the meeting go?" Sarian asked. He crossed his arms and leaned against the nearby wall.
"Fantastic. Yew is ours, surrendered peacefully." Cal replied.
Denzin looked towards Sarian. "Enough slumping around. You wanted to expand the horizon's for Blackmarsh. Well here it is, this is our time to establish a lawful Empire. I want you to keep an eye on everything that goes on in Blackmarsh.
It's your job to organize trainings amongst the town. You're to make sure that all of our defenses are always top notch, never weak. Make the citizens feel free to walk the streets. Blackmarsh is our Capital. From this day forth, you'll be the Blackmarsh Warlord.
It's our most prized City. Don't let us down with the protection of it Sarian."
Sarians mouth opened a bit. He debated whether or not to make a remark. In the end, he decided to let the Mayor carry on, and nodded.
Denzin turned to face Orelen. "Orelen, our discussion and idea is about to go into motion. Britain will not be left out. If any City deserves a lawful protector, it's Britain. The two of us will travel to the City and meet with the Nobles. Along with them, we'll present ourselves and Blackmarsh to the citizens."
Orelen nodded. "I'm confident that things will go smoothly. A clean and organized transition for the people of Britain. It's been my home ever since I was a child. It would mean the most to me to extend the protection from Blackmarsh over to Britain."
"Excellent!" Denzin replied. "Welcome to Blackmarsh, Orelen." _________________ BeastMaster (6:27 PM):
