Lord Thraxas,

I write to you with the intention to continue your investigation on the elves of Heartwood. It is my belief that they are up to now good as well, and should undoubtedly be punished in some form for their misdeeds. Having recently been granted the Warlord of Yew, this operation now falls under my authority, and I will see to it that it becomes a top priority.

We should meet relatively soon to compare notes and discuss solutions.

Cal Hurst
Warlord of Yew
Blackmarsh Empire

Thraxas read the letter and smiled. He quickly penned a reply and sent it immediately:

"Honorable Warlord Hurst,

I am most impressed by your quick uptake on the situation as it has stood with those elves and Yew. One only has to imagine the existence of an independent-minded, information-grabbing, snobbish and haughty populous, grouped within one's own borders, to obtain insight into the dangers of its continued existence as such. I have had nothing but trouble from them Trammel-side. However, I am sure the Feluccan elvish town is not less of an obstacle, but moreso perhaps, to the peace that you seek to maintain. In short, I would gladly meet with you to discuss this topic at length and thoroughly with you. Perhaps together we can arrive at some kind of united policy that will lance that festering carbuncle which oozes its poison into the lifeblood of our beloved communities.

Send word via a pigeon or messenger and I will make haste to meet with you, or you may visit me here at my home, at your convenience.

My thanks for your interest in this subject and the quick action you are taking regarding it.

Sincerely,

Thraxas
Lord Regent of Yew, Trammel"
