After our last meeting, I wanted to express my pleasure at our ability to speak frankly. I look forward to meeting with you and your people again. I have been made to understand the mystery of the murders in your homeland has been cleared up. Umbra, and the Order, in a move of friendship are looking to intervene, so this sort of thing does not occur again. As your friend Adrian's actions noted, the citizenry of Charnel Hill has several stumbling blocks to work around. Rogue vampires, even when not associated with Umbra or the Order still tend to cast shadows on our nature.

i should still like to have Solanaceae come to your camp and spend some time getting to know you and yours, as well as assisting you in any way she can. Do not be shy about asking her to assist in any labors your people partake of. She needs to better understand the life you and yours follow.

That said, I want to assure you of your people's safety within the Southern Malasian Empire. The little fetishes my Orthon has delivered with this letter have but a single magical property. I have given them to you, and you have the ability to give each to one person. If they are passed on, without coming back to you, they will crumble to dust.

Have your people carry them. Should they run into issue, they may present them as a token of Umbran protection. They will be respected by my people, and will afford you and yours the same protection as a citizen of the Empire.

While it was my great pleasure to be afforded the opprotunity to speak frankly in your company, and find some common ground between our very different peoples, I fear that various disparagies and misunderstandings still abound.

I admire Umbra's decisive actions, and dedication to grand, public gestures and proclamations, but worry that such bold actions have given rise to misconceptions about my people, and their place in the world. Worries that I am sure a simple conversation can set to rest. Whether it was my need to be courteous as a guest in your home, or failings as diplomat, (which is a new hat for me to wear) my intent was more than a little muddled.

Do not doubt that your swift military actions within Minoc has sent a message to the predator(s) who claim rulership there, and as such, pushed the safety and well being of my clan to the forefront of their nightly thoughts and deeds. For this we are thankful to the Order beyond measuring.

I ask you now, let us take it from here. The support you have shown us is bargaining chip enough to see this thing to a suitable conclusion.

I look forward to our next meeting, and have a burning curiosity about your "Wonderwork."

On a more sombre note, within this box are the gears and chains you had gifted upon me. My people find your goodwill towards us more than enough gift, and trust that if incident should arise, words will suffice. On a personal note, we do not care for the symbolism of the jewelry.
