After a long night of arguing, discussing, talking, yelling, and planning with her daughter, Kelly pulled out a fine parchment and new quill and ink.

She knew it was a long shot at best but she had to try. Even a vampire could hope. She figured Stonegate and Blue Lotus had its plate full with the Luna battle and the wedding stuff. She looked at the hawk perched over its rabbit carcass. Have to clean you up after that meal before delivering this. She thought.

The parchment is sealed with red and black wax, and tied with a green ribbon to the hawk's foot.

Ruler over Sanctus,
Your Majesty King Talon,

I do not know if this falls on deaf ears. Long have the Sanctans been our foes. Light versus Darkness. There needs to be a balance. The balance has been tipped toward a darkness neither of us would wish. I do not grovel or beg, but wish to seek audience with you, and your fellow allies to explain my own side. I am sure you know the matter on which I wish to discuss. Please let me know if you will meet, and when and where.

After cleaning the bird up with mild protest, she fastened the scroll and looked it eye to eye. "Go now. As fast as your wings can carry you to King Talon in Sanctus."
She watched the hawk fly off. With it, any shred of hope to save the City of Minoc and its people from the clutches of the Order. This was not about the Cappadocians now to her. It was now more about restoring the balance.
